For effective genomic DNA extraction from Gram (-) negative and Gram (+) positive bacteria, the Magnetic Beads Genomic DNA Extraction Kit for Bacteria was designed. The magnetic beads are coated with DNA and then released using a specialised buffer mechanism. The kit is easily adaptable to workstations and automated magnetic bead separation devices. The extracted pure DNA may be applied in several downstream applications, including real-time PCR.
